Neither were they in a position to force a peace treaty on anyone. Israel had the guts to win the battle in 67. They didn't have the guts to win the war. I know what I am saying is "woulda, coulda, shoulda," but if they had kept fighting they could have dictated peace terms. The Israel Gov at the time was still Socialist. They still thought they could negotiate with the Muslims. Israel is now flipped today but they might make the same mistake again.
