I ordered a couple of mid-grade Xeon chips in it. It is a small network, maybe 20-50 users typically, most very light use.

But I talked to the guy who is building it last night, and it turned out they're putting U.2 drives instead of M.2 (not sure what brand). I never even heard of them. Got to reading and they're apparently a good alternative for enterprise installs, but is way overkill for this install. I don't prefer this if it ends up being like SAS drives -- which are often a pain to find when you need them.

Anyway, apparently, the booting is a problem because they are U.2 drives and not M.2 drives as had previously stated. He told me last night he had found someone with a card they say will boot to U.2 arrays. We'll see.

Thanks for that link. I noticed they do have some U.2 RAID controllers there. IF the one he's getting in today doesn't work we'll use one of these.

This build started before Christmas and they've been fiddling around with it.
