She was breaking and entering a Federal building. If she had wanted to surrender, she should have stopped breaking and entering first. That's how surrendering works.

She jump into the broken window as was shot dead in a fraction of a second Yes, I don't think she understood the danger she was in. But, I don't know if that is relevant now. She certainly believed that what she was doing was worth some risk. Douch bag Donnie was the Chuckie Mansion that she followed to her death. Real simple, If someone jumps off a cliff would you follow? It is the mantra of people who get caught and are in big trouble, "I was just following .....". Someone else did worse and didn't get killed. For sure it isn't fair. Where does it say, that life is fair? Just be glad she didn't suffer.
