I'm seriously considering - move to another country

There are a few Sier's I know that have already done that.

A lot of people are comfortable living in a city and dealing with all of it's foibles. Those of us out in the boonies are isolated enough we aren't bothered by all the chaos. We set up our own communities and have the luxury of ignoring the crybabies and whiners in places like Portland.

People who work have to bide their time until they can get out, but many never will because that is where they have spent their lives and they don't know anything else. Either that or they like living amongst all the chaos. We've had both an electrician and a plumber here over the course of the last 10 days and both of them want out. Imo people who do want out must make haste. Imo it's just a matter of time before even rural property will become out of reach for most.

When I go down valley now I am amazed at the litter on the sides of the roads. This is a beautiful place..........the garbage is very noticeable. And then there is the disrespect people show towards others. I figure these people are from Cali or the east coast.......from places where it is more or a dog eat dog world. There is absolutely no doubt people bring their bad habits with them when they migrate.

When I was growing up it was clean and people were respectful. That is all gone and it seems like we're on our way to a Mad Max kind of world.

Anyone I know that lived in the Greek Isles always regrets leaving. A friend and his wife went to a wedding in Croatia, now they want to retire there.
