Judy,

judging by only one post from this Clint's person, I can only suggest that he is probably uninformed. When Sprint and others were awarding contracts for basestation/infrastructure, QCOM couldn't possibly deliver if the contracts were awarded to them. Remember they were busy coming up with some CDMA handsets which none of the big boys want to or could produce.

They did end up teaming up with NT and grabbed what they could out of it.

I am not sure if the shareholders meeting agenda is on the QCOM site or not, there is some basic boring stuff such as election of officers on the hard copy that you should have received in the mail. I don't doubt that there will be a lot of questions, and hopefully answers, about the 3g/IPR issues.

What El Nino are you talking about? We are having fantastic weather here.

Ramsey

You mean this one?

"Long-term investors should ask why the company who invented the technology doesn't get picked by any major PCS provider in the US to provide BTS equip."

But, every PCS provider chose Qcom for handsets. I am curious why he bases the stock price on base station marketing... No experience with switch integration?

Here is another project that should prove lucrative for Qcom:
Globalstar sattelites due to launch very early on Feb 5. Set your alarm clocks.

Because that isn't their strength. They provided the handsets while, NT, LU and MOT provided the infrastucture. They did provide equipment to NT and profit nicely from it. Clint doesn't know what he is talking about on this one. Short it if he dare, but a company that is growing at the pace they have, then he is deluding himself for the time being.
