Redhead, nice pick on MON. Next time I think you need to be more presistent and demand that we buy it <g>. Something to consider would be how the fourth quarter numbers might affect the stock short term.
If the numbers aren't great it might put a skid on the stock for a few days. Long term it looks like they made a great move.

APCO.... I believe what we are experiencing now might be a situation where the people who were looking to make a couple of quick points based on earnings news only, are leaving the stock. The only thing bizzare about this idea is that earnings are do out either tomorrow or Wednesday. Some might be thinking that the earnings aren't going to be that good. Based on the FA and conversations with the company, I don't see that even being a possibllity. People selling today, could have been wanting to put their money some place else where they felt they had a chance to make more money in a shorter period of time. Hopefully for those people, they will.

I think the recent selling that has gone on will help APCO when the earnings come out. It should give it some stability because some of the people that were looking to sell right after earnings have already done so. I have a hunch that there will be another announcement just before or right after earnings that will also help the stock. Of course its just a hunch so I really don't want to speculate about it.

I've started looking at APCO as a long term play instead of trying to project the short term price of it like I had been. I am very confident with the long term possibilities and am still looking for
$12 to $15 by years end.
