I do not live in china so I am just speculating but I see this is as a molehill. I suspect that this is a temporary measure and that if people want they have alternative ways of downloading the app anyway and this does not affect the hundreds of millions of users who have already dowloaded the app. I could be wrong but I dont see investing in China like investing in Russia where Putin can just expropriate whatever asset he feels like. I think the Chinese leadership recognizes that deep down some of these large techno oriented companies like BABA are so much more efficient than anything State enterprises can put together so they improve the welfare of the population a great deal. They are mostly concerned about the political influence these companies can potentially wield .just my two cents. BWDIK i sit here lamenting the fact that i sold out of VIAC around $30.
