steve, I agree with you long term. I know dec sold quite a bit of their offshoots such as their networking to cs (that may just do in cs, I don't know if they can compete with the csco's of the world). So dec was loaded with cash so great timing by cpq. Those guys know what they are doing. Amazing management. Incidentally if cpq really wants to take on ibm and dominate the world I think a great purchase for them would be emc, the world leader in massive enterprise storage technology. Any chance of that happening IYO? It would really help cpq's margins as well. Anyway, while I think dec will help longterm I see cpq going nowhere shortterm say for the next couple of months. Do you agree? I think this will be a mammoth job integrating dec with cpq and take longer than cpq plans on.

Hi steve..err..hpeace,

Hope the shoulder is healing nicely.

What's your opinion on the CPQ Jan00 $40 leaps. They are trading @ 6.25 right now.

Do these look attractive to you, and/or any other CPQ leaps? Your opinion is much appreciated.

Peace,

Bill
