Last,
Do you have an opinion on VVUS. It seemed to have opened up strong to 15 1/2 today than settled back to 15- 15 1/8 trading range all day. It seems to have a little resistance at this level. I am playing the feb 15 calls but I am getting a little nervous. I should have gone out to march but was hoping their new ad campaign and analyst meeting this past weekend will have a positive effect. Any comments.

Thanks in advance,FD

Speaking of Iomega, I've been thinking about picking up one of the Zip Drives. Now I'm starting to see ads for the Syquest SparQ drive. Little 1 gig drive that looks remarkably like a Zip drive. No accident there. Syquest's previous efforts like the EZFlyer were clunky looking devices.

Anyway, I see the SparQ as serious competition for the Zip. The price is roughly the same ($199), and it's much faster than the Zip drive.
The 1 gig cartridges cost $40, or three for $100. Seems like a no-brainer choice to me. If Syquest makes these drives reliable, I don't see how Iomega can continue to charge the same prices for their drives and cartridges. They're either going to have to answer back with a high capacity drive for roughly the same price, or make steep cuts in the prices of the Zip drive and it's cartridges.

Looks to me like Iomega's stock has been beaten down for good reason. I think they're profit margins will continue to be eroded, at least for the near term.
