1.... I do not want to be misunderstood. While I have the most agressive targets on the thread I do not believe that AMAT will recover in a straight line. I already got burned on the last earnings report when I sold my option at a tidy profit but kept my stock for vanity reason... u know the ones... I'm an investor man... It is completely whack to invest in things you have no control over. I am a trader. and if we see 42+ anytime soon I'm out because... SEA is not out of the woods yet... Japan has still to swallow poison. and we will undoubtedly recover too fast as we corrected too deep. 2.... I said all last week that the 35's (feb) were attractive... My advice is to sell these before earnings because amat will either anounce an acquistion or waffle... there is too much to waffle about... because the future is a little cloudy. 3..... The reasons to sell at 100 were compelling. the reasons too buy at 30 were compelling, but 200m + shares traded between 98 and 108 presplit this will ensure the stock moves like a rocket when we close on 50. 4.... even on weakness do not sell tomorrow... the shorts will try to shake the price before earnings, but it is very likely that the run up will advance upgrades a few days because if your price target was 40 you're getting very close to missing your own boat IYSWIM 5.... MSDW is my favorate for an upgrade, it will get us above res. which is right about here. 6.... The DRAM story is bunk... there is no alternative but to upgrade or lose everything... the only constraint to the semi-equips is a little rescheduling while we lend the money for SEA to buy our goods. this pain will provide anothoer opp 7.... I cannot spell at the best of times. 8.... quite what the relevence of clinton's draft dodging is i'm not sure, but i will say this.... there is nothing heroic about war,
