Paul: Hindsight is always 20/20. We could all have a lot more shares had we sold prior to the price decline.

The more pertinent question is where are we going from here? There was an article in today's WSJ (page C-1) talking about how fund managers have been dumping small growth stocks, partially in reaction to the Asia crisis.

The biggest worry I have had about this stock is why the weakness given that VLNC is supposedly on the verge of initiating volume production of their product. Smarter people than me suggest this means something is wrong with the fundamentals that us mere mortals know nothing about.

Looking at the question from the viewpoint that the glass if half-full, one institution bailing out for whatever reason could have caused the initial weakness late last year. Others may have sold because of the sudden technical weakness, for tax-loss purposes, or to raise money to convert their options (in the case of former insiders).

In other words, I think there are many plausible reasons for the weakness other than something is broken. The stock appears to be pretty solid at this point. Let's hope the glass is half full.
