This point I think has alot of validity Penni, and mirror's my own personal experience.

The human existence is to seek answers, when questions are asked. When the physical non-spiritual world offers none. There is a natural desire to find one. A certain amount of comfort is given in returning to ones roots, especially those experienced as a child.

It's tough for me to believe that a person such as Jesus Christ who died in such a far away place and so long ago. Would be remembered with such love and devotion if not for some higher purpose.

There again I could just be looking for answers where there isn't one. A few months ago Andrew had a great quote regarding this on the feelings thread from a philosopher. I wish I could remember it.
