CDMA v. TDM (ala Newbridge)
Different technology
Different application
Different market

It is a red herring. QCOM and NN are not competing head to head.

Glenn, TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) is used on a point to point or multipoint physical media, wire, fiber etc. QCOM's CDMA refers to wireless transmission/reception, ie cellualar technology. Two different means of transmitting the bits. However, some ethernet also rely's on Collision Detect Multiple Access, which could explain some of the confusion with the acronyms.
