The step change in S&P on Friday... reflected in step changes in other things today... gold and silver having a sudden drop... gold at 9 am, but silver not until 9:30... why ? ... nothing in the charts suggesting that should happen at all... if / when there is an organic trade occurring, says the trade is not organic...

That linkage in step changes, and the disconnects between them, together expose the nature of the linkages in the price setting mechanisms... not just the fact of the derivatives used by "the man behind the screen" seen behind the liquidation event in a single instance... but the inter-relationships that exist between one manipulation and another...

That occurs in a circumstance in which, on March 18, the music changed... there is a new beat behind the music now... a stretching in time... that means the techno pop suddenly stopped... being replaced with some slower paced flow... less pounding bass... more drawn out notes on violins... perhaps a waltz ?

The change engenders missteps among those on the dance floor... some of whom will opt to remain out there dancing through the change in music, adapting to the change more or less well depending on perception... while others decide now is a good time to go and get a drink...

I remain seated in the bar... watching the collisions occurring on the dance floor and the number of those exiting now who are heading for the bar... or headed for the door... while casually looking around for that one cute girl who looks like she has become bored, and tired of having her toes mashed by her partner...

But, at the same time... not sure how many techno dance club girls might be up for a tango...

Wondering if perhaps the DJ might reading the crowd wrong...

Rather than focus on the events of the day... as they become more interesting...

Perhaps now an ideal time to focus on what is best to consider in an interdependent world... when the over-reliance on untrustworthy partners in external dependencies fails at an accelerating pace...

Focus on the false entrained in everything... why it is accepted... how it matters... how it engenders fragility...

Focus less on "what to do" while expecting you must act now to buy, to own something... and more on "what you should perceive"... about the reality of markets as they exist now...

Ignore the specifics... focus on the cultivation of perception... awareness of context... first.

Watch this again...

The last sentence in the CFD article says all you need to know "We look forward to the congressional hearings on this." Not one of those congressional ass hats have ever even heard of a 'CFD' but they know exactly how to regulate it. I remain overweight ... "wait for it".
