Ah, the great what if. What if half of the vaccines administered are a placebo and the whole exercise was a gigantic test pool for an unproven technology? Maybe not but might make a good movie script.

Essentially the "doomsday scenario" unfolding before us is that the kids are catching covid but not getting sick or sick enough to be hospitalized. This might not seem like a problem that needs fixed, until you realize that kids with covid are kids that no longer need a vaccine $$$$. So we must keep them away from covid with social distancing to make sure there is a still reason to vaccinate them as more doses are produced $$$$.
