trade the 1,000 shares during the day at the same price in several
trades ( ie 5oo shares @31; 300 shares @ 31; 200 shares @ 31) it is treated as a single
trade and there is no commission.


That is what I anticipated. Therefore, you could use a limit order and fill the balance at market close to the close of market. Does that sound like it would work for you?

Getgo,

I agree with Glenn, the commission should be a non event. I use Lombard and pay 14.95 on market and 19.95 on limits.
