I believe the major media outlets should be harshly punished for what they did, essentially, encouraged what amounted to a coup.

Lordy, now it's the media that orchestrated the coup. Too much coverage of the big lie. Too much coverage of those subversives and their dear leader, I suppose. Emboldened them. Everybody wants his ten minutes, or is it fifteen. Except, of course, for dear leader, who wants attention every minute of every day.
