The witnesses described what they saw. Hostility to the police officer is probably due to their seeing him kill a man in cold blood. Most people have a moral problem with that.

Even the judge had to admonish the young woman who was a firefighter, who seemed extremely hostile toward the defendant.

Yep. She seems to have hostility towards a man she watched murder another for no known reason...

A total headscratcher there.

She wanted to administer CPR to Floyd, who she could see was not breathing. Chauvin wouldn't allow it. Most people who witness a murder are hostile toward the murderer.
