The simplest explanation for something that happened not being reported is that CNN, MSNBC, NYT, and WaPo simply didn't want to report it because it is inconsistent with their default mentality. You still haven't answered my question about how a reporter who really wanted to get the story could go about reporting on it. You can't just ask either Biden because they would just deny it. So where do you go? The Trump news media didn't get the story. They just reported the accusation. Surely they were motivated to get to the bottom of if. Surely they weren't ignoring it out of bias. So why didn't they get it? So why do you think it's legitimate to criticize the MSM so harshly for not having gotten it?
