I know that normally an autopsy can usually pinpoint asphyxia, choking, strangulation, suffocation, etc., as a cause of death, versus "cardiopulmanary arrest". For example, they normally find the presence petechial hemorrhages that resulted from the incident bleeding into the skin.

I'm okay with waiting to hear what the Michael Baden review has to say. But contrary to MSNBC reports that Baden is an "independent", he is as bought as can be. Someone who is paid by the family is no more independent than the lawyer is. I think he is mostly honest, but he makes money by making cases.

Not to mention, you can compress an airway and restrict blood flow in the carotid artery without completely shutting off airflow. Tommie the Commie's helpful diagrams show how that is possible.
