I believe there was a reference to it being in 1984 because of George Orwell's masterpiece, "1984", which was seen as rather Ironic because of the theme of Bezmenov's lecture ...... At the end of the day, what Bezmenov informed America back then has certainly come to pass, MOST ESPECIALLY, IMO, with regard to the attack on the EDUCATION system and how that has resulted in the current presence of individuals who are COMPLETELY IMMUNE TO FACTS and Blind to the ILLOGICAL aspects of their MARXIST RHETORIC. We see classic examples of that on several SI Boards, e.g. "View from the Centre And Left" and "Formerly About Advanced Micro Devices", etc.., where one can see that there are those who have received higher education at MARXIST "hotbeds" such as the University of California, Berkeley. In politics we see such classic examples as AOC, Bernie Sanders, Schumer, and the rest of those Demented Democrats. IMO it is Very Important, and in fact Imperative, that more and more Americans need to be far better informed as to how MARXIST operate and go about their VILE Business. The better you know your Enemy and how he operates the better equipped you are to defeat him. America's Open and Welcoming Society has made it far easier for the MARXISTS to Enter, Infiltrate and Work Within as they went about their Decade's Long Strategies and Achieved the Successes that they have to date.
