You overcame classic "imposter's syndrome."

I never did beat that. I guess there's still time. It is a motivator for me to constantly do better.

Affordable Community Colleges are hugely important, not only for young people.

I recommend the Netflix Series "Last Chance U" for a dose of reality. The recent (current) season, following the series on Laney Football in Oakland, is about East LA Community College basketball.

I had to go to Berkeley to get my first job at the Chevron refinery in Richmond, then San Francisco. After five years I moved on to Los Angeles in real estate development.

During the summers in college I worked for PG&E in Emeryville, and later their gas transmission department based in Antioch.
