The documents released today in the Derek Chauvin/George Floyd case include parts of the MPD training manual discussing how a neck restraint should be used. What's remarkable is that the officers on scene that day appear to be doing exactly what they were trained to do. The officers were allowed -- and even supposed to -- use a neck restraint

The prosecution's expert witness admitted that he has done the same thing that Chauvin is being prosecuted for, holding down a suspect until EMS arrived.
