RE: Announced on 2/3/98? Michael to tear the numbers apart?

I wouldn't count on either.

The 2/3 date is what they're saying over on the Yahoo message boards, which they got from the Yahoo Research page, I believe. I don't think that's ever been confirmed with SyQuest. Their IR section on their web site just says "by 2/15". It might be tomorrow, but don't be surprised if it's not.

Also, I'll probably wait for a few days before I do an analysis of SyQuest's Q1 numbers. I'll give the SYQT bulls a chance to either say "the numbers were good, why's it going down" or "the numbers will be better next quarter" before I give my views. <G> ;) <G> ;)

Good luck, and I hope your trades are successful.

Re: >>>I'm sure the numbers will be torn apart and put back together again by Michael here by the time I'm able to see them.<<<

If Michael doesn't, you can be certain I will.

BTW, Quest OEMs? Does anyone know who they are?

Earnings will be reported sometime next week. Today, I called (510-226-4000) and asked for the finance department at Syquest. The person I talked with said if I'd call back tomorrow they'd give me the exact date.

My guess, this 2 3/4 level is pretty important. Steady large volume buying above 2 3/4 will suggest the numbers are good. Watch the tape!
