I originally bought Delta Gold (now Chase) on Doug Casey's recommendation in August 1996. In his newsletter last month he dropped Chase from his Junior Gold list with the comment.

"It's with regret that Chase leaves the list. Management is fine, it's just that their properties haven't panned out. And the treasury has been depleted in the process. I will continue to monitor the company out of the corner of my eye, in hopes that Ian Rozier can pull a rabbit out of the hat."

Is his assessment consistent with anything the rest of you might have have heard?

Ted they all seemed to drop it at the same time. I know Brian Fagan has also said he has taken it off this list. What one has to question is this company was not suppose to be a one property play. What happened? When they merged with Delta they were so high on the properties. The only reason I see to hang on is it can't go much lower. If something does happen in the next year great, if it does not sell it for a tax loss. Also Ian is not done with it. I am sure he has lost sleep over it also. R
