Robert, great links! Its hard to believe that tool x is nearly 15 yrs old now. Any comments on my reply to PASS PASS?
Thanks again for the great links
TI2

PS
Elizabeth, check out the links to IBMtechnical papers. One article talks about x ray begining in the 1960's since optical would struggle getting to 1 micron. They now show optical down to .130 micron (and they spent the money on xray).

Bob,

Re the shipped vs installed.

CYMI ships its lasers to Canon, Nikon, ASMLF and SVGI - the stepper makers. The use of the verb "installed" during the conference call was in the context of "installed at chipmakers" - i.e. the stepper makers' customers, companies such as INTC, MU, ...

The significance is,

1. "are the stepper makers able to manufacture efficiently, or are they just adding to backlog?"

2. "are the steppers making into production fab lines which would indicate an imminent explosion in demand for steppers and thus CYMI's lasers.

If this info has already been posted, sorry for the redundancy.

Ian.
