You put your finger exactly on my criticism when you said, "they must be doing something somewhat sophisticated or their partner(professional biochemists) would not pay them". They are doing something somewhat sophisticated alright, just sophisticated enough to pull the wool over the next expert's eyes until that expert discovers there is no added value in this process. By then the company has scampered on to the next collaboration. A Ponzi sheme of pseudo-science. The fooled expert isn't going to divulge the bag job. Ego and compensation are far more important than evanescent scientific truths, n'est-ce pas? No doubt I've exaggerated. No doubt. None?
