Right. When people are breaking windows and smashing doors to get to you and your charges, there is no real basis for alarm, much less concern...Obviously, they just want to shower them with kisses and hugs. Said no one but you. Ever.

You've admitted your wife keeps a gun in her bedroom. If a crowd of people bash in your door, will you or she refrain from shooting the first invader who enters your home till you know their breaking in is a real threat? After all, maybe they're just coming to hug and kiss you all as the losing President said. And besides, maybe the first home invader doesn't even know the ones who bashed in your door.
