Creating OLE Link

I just got MSWIN 6.5. I am trying to create an OLE link to Excel. When I copy a price or indicator, it pastes fine into Excel. When I copy and Special Paste to create the link, the DATE field copies as a five digit number (say, 35127), in ascending order. Then when I link back to MSWIN with a new indicator, the data is shifted (not consistent with the correct dates).

Does anyone have experience with this?

Also, when I try to convert an Excel file to MSWIN, only the first line row of data converts.

Any comments welcome.
