I don’t know how much pressure can be exerted when 3 USC Sec 5 sets out every aspect of the process. Pence's role was a solely ministerial one. Trump's statement that Pence had the right to reject fraudulent votes was factually incorrect. Imo.

OTOH, members of Congress are under no obligation to vote to certify fraudulent obtained votes. And these people did the right thing, up until the protest edged more toward a riot and the Capitol was breached. Then, whatever coalition existed fell apart, understandably.

Either way we ended up with a falsely elected president and it is proving to be a disaster. No informed person in hIs or her right mind can support what is going on. I am more convinced than ever that a radical like Obama is pulling the strings and Biden is a mere figurehead. Who knows e can be replaced at a moment's notice. This is what Obama dreamed of and he may be getting his third term at this point sans public accountability.
