It started when Obama was elected but has gotten progressively more stupid over time. ACA was the opening salvo and the craziest. And here we are. Spending more and more money every year, and getting exactly nothing in return. No one's life is improved by it even with the marginal tinkering that has occurred. But instead of learning from a stupid move, they have doubled down on it. And it has left half the country hoping against hope that the Biden presidency collapses. Not everyone is honest about it, but no one wants success. People who thought they wanted it are now realizing that their financial lives are being upended (those who aren't government workers/teachers and others who are on the take).
