I am not sure what your first sentence means. But, that is typical with one of your posts. Word salad.

How are there no safeguards? To be clear, the absence of safeguards doesn't mean there is authoritarianism. Although it makes it easier. However, despite Trump's attempts at removing all safeguards, some still exist.

If there is no safeguard it is tantamount to authoritarianism.

Authoritarianism is a form of government. There is no tweak in an operational election process that will generate an authoritarian government. And no tweak in an operational election process is cheating if it does not change any votes.

It's impossible to have a meaningful discussion with someone who doesn't know or doesn't care about the meaning of words.

You're just throwing buzzwords around. You make sentences and paragraphs like from a Chinese restaurant menu, one from column A and two from column B. That may be one step up from Trump's word salad, well, maybe a half step, but it's no more thoughtful and certainly not apt.
