At the height of the epidemic, when going to the store, or for some medical reason, I used to put on a thick cup shaped old fashioned N95, the one with a thick aluminum clasp. After a while the mask would begin to hurt, and breathing would take an effort. At least once I cut short a shopping trip to Costco because... I had enough.

The fact that they managed to make masks a political issue says more about our times - than about masks.

Obviously, our fearless leaders don’t give a hoot about masks. Why is that obvious? Because they wear - and promote - the use of worthless rags, and NEVER mention the issue of fitting any mask.

Demanding masks for activities like Tennis - is just plain obscene. Ditto for forcing them on children.

So, I’m by no means a promoter of this ongoing masquerade.

I’d be wearing one, had I still worked in a ICU. Maybe now, that I’m vaccinated, I’d switch to one of those colored rags.
