Looks like the main nuclear nasty will be Tritium. Half life 12.5 years sending out a Beta particle as a decay mechanism.

Could be worse.

Hopefully they will filter out the other nasty crap in it. and my view would to be to encourage them to do that properly.

And make sure corruption is removed from the Japanese nuclear safety equation, especially with regard to Tsunamis.

It was the corruption that was totally unacceptable and unnecessary that made a bad incident into a disaster.

That's where the focus should be imho.

Maybe we should be more concerned about the amount of mercury China chucks out into the Pacific ocean each year. That bio accumulates too up the food chain. In fact I am advised to no eat too much fish sourced from the pacific region just for that reason alone.

My brain has rotted over the years, so I have to be careful about the mercury. It was either the Chinese mercury or all that Scotch I drank over the years that was the culprit. Couldn't have been the Scotch of course -g-
