I agree. I haven't been over there in a few years, but when I've been there the focus has been on downtown because there is not much else there. We did spend July 4 there some years back and had a great time and actually got out of the riverwalk area and found things to do.

The place is an intriguing bit of history at the very least, though.

The only cities which don't have that dichotomy are the ones where everyone is poor. Detroit?
