Spoke to one of WV Dept of Nat. Resources top foresters. He prepares states annual timber report & monitors timber prices paid to landowners.

Key, per several years of posting has been to wait before cutting any of my stand. Apparently my patience is now paying off in a big way. YTD? Solid Rocket Boosters been powering our Red Oak, White Oak, & other hardwoods into the same big bull trajectory. He's confident of even higher prices in coming months.

For a variety of reasons, our hardwoods AWA those in other states lagged the bull move in Random Length Lumber contracts. Unless the economy crashes? Summer should be very kind to your humble correspondent after my local consulting forester begins to solicit bids from at least 3 sawmills. Between now & then? Getting every duck in it's proper position in line.

I LOVE LIVING HERE!!!
