Steve,

I just noticed that SI now has a spell checker and immediately thought of you.<gg>

You have no excuse now...the Aggie excuse won't even work now.<gg>

Hi Steve,

Which have you found more profitable.....

Trading stocks and doing option plays (covered calls, spreads, etc.)
or simply passively owning good stocks (such as CPQ, MSFT and I
also like EMC) for a long period of time?

I'm been having this problem lately of picking good stocks intending
to hold them, then selling when they're showing a 20 or 30 percent
profit and missing another rally. Is it better to just hang on and let
the stock fluctuate as long as the basic story remains positive?

I know it would be a lot easier....

What do you think?

Hi Steve;

I've been lurking on this forum and a couple of others that you post on for some time. I really appreciate your insights, thanks for taking the time to answer so many questions!

I am long 10 March 30 CPQ contracts and am wondering what you think of CPQ short term. (I know you like it long term) Should I pocket the 1.5 points I've made so far and go out longer? Or keep it for a short term rise?

Thanks for your help!
James

Steve,

I've been following your discussion of bull spreads and was wondering if you use a online brokerage for selling your puts and if so which one? I was also wondering if CS would be a candidate for this technique?

Thanks,
Lonny
