(Off Topic) Rioting in Indonesia

Violence flared in Indonesia with people expressing anger at rising food prices by stoning shops selling food. Rioting flared for several hours with some 300 security troops brought in to quell the melee. Ten villages were involved and some 2000 people. Troops have been deployed to Java's north coast.

Just the beginning of the IMF austerity program.
In other news Russia raised interest rates to fend off an attack on the ruble. Russia has been unable to finance government operations (pay salaries) from tax collections. The other two sources of its revenue are privatization and floating bonds, hence the interest rate increases to attract buyers.

Dwight:

We live and invest based on our perception of reality. I do respect
your perception--with some I even agree. Where we defer, there may a time or place, when and where even our opposing views may be valid.

The only statement I can not accept is: You wanting me to ask "Japanese"--requiring me to learn a very difficult language <G>
and asking "Herbert Hoover"--requiring me to take the ultimate
journey <GGG>. Friend, may I have an alternative? LOL

Good luck,

regards

Seren.
