More questions about IRIS and a Malaysian 1/8/98 article/Repost Received this e-mail with a question and a couple of comments. Neil and Tom have already answered it. The reposter makes reference to a 1/8/98 article. I am reposting, as I received it, since I don't like to make changes on reposts. Sorry, if it's redundant. P. S. Just a speed bump. ******************************************************** Hello Lou, Someone has mentioned IRIS at the RMTR Cache Inn, reported in the Malaysian paper NEW STRAITS TIMES dated january 8th. IRIS has joined with MOTOROLA and are to develop a smartcard to meet the requirements of the MSC project in Malaysia. Mr. Chas Yap says as quoted in the paper, "By establishing a technological alliance with Motorola, we will achieve a faster time to market with new smart technology devices" IRIS has a website, http //www.iris-card.com.my the site has not been updated for awhile. There was no mention of FRAM, RAMTRON, RACOM or INTAG, what I would like to know, who is IRIS, maybe someone can show some light on the subject?
