Your last sentence is the key. I saw a study of SARS antibodies. SARS was around in the early 2000's. They checked people who had had SARS like 15 years earlier and almost all still had antibodies. The same study stated that Covid is 70% similar to SARS so the antibody situation is most likely similar.
