This may mean nothing.

But I have a lot of arthritis and take naproxen for it. I complained to my doctor (an internist who has a bit of a focus on more natural type treatments), and he suggested Turmeric. I sort of said, "Yeah, maybe I'll get some of that."

I got some, but for the last year took a lower dose than recommended, a half-hearted effort. When I went in for my physical, I once again complained about arthritis pain and wondered whether there was something better than naproxen. He then asked, "Did you try the Turmeric?" I told him yes, and he asked, "How much are you taking?" I told him.

He said the problem here is you aren't taking the right dosage. You should be taking 3x that. So, I thought what the hell, and started taking 3 caps morning + night. I have no idea whether it helps other people, but it has made a huge difference for me. I've had a serious problem with my neck, diagnosed probably about 10 years ago. My doctor (then) described it as "significant degenerative arthritis", and told me, "It ain't going to get any better." Ten years later, it has.

My lower back pain has mostly gone since then as well. Right about then I got gel injections in my knees which work for about 6-8 months, so I'm good with that.

If you haven't and you can, I would really recommend trying Turmeric. Has made a real difference in my ability to move.

Still couldn't dance if my life depended on it, though.
