that's a great example of projection and the derrida's 'ear of the other' and, maybe, teotwawki, as well.
not sure where to begin, of course, but how 'bout:

there is a curious coincidence that, as u.s./western culture lunges into redefinition of 'masculine'
and 'not masculine' (neo-feminism/ trans-sexualism/ etc.)...
it is curious/odd that a central character named derek 'chauvin',
has a last name which is identical to the long-standing feminist battle against 'chauvinists'...
this is simply an observation...
not an attempt to stir your hysteria.

and, sure, another coincidence is that questions about race/ethnicity and gender/sex roles
are sharing the social spotlight. another simple observation.

as well, i posed (only slightly embedded) question about good/bad polarity,
which, of course, is a form of reductio ad absurdum and
yes, probably a form of social hysteria,
which concerns me
but might be expected when it's teotwawki...
all a slippery slope.
