The experience has been similar in the U.S. During the pandemic a significant number of business and casual travelers shifted from hotels to Airbnbs, mostly driven by the fact that it is easier to socially distance at an Airbnb than at a hotel. While Airbnb took a hit in 2020, they are going to come out of the pandemic with an accelerated growth rate.
