I take 3 morning + 3 night. My doctor has suggested a different brand, in that it is supposedly better absorbed. It is called Meriva SF, but is a little more expensive and this working well enough for now. I have no adverse side effects from it at all. The bottle says three capsules "with meals". I have heard it is good to take them with milk but I've never had any stomach problems.
