I would certainly agree with everything you said, since it doesn't contradict anything I said. Well, you used the word "created"...I suspect the scientists (Katalin Karikó, Drew Weissman, and many others) who worked for decades on the idea of mRNA, in the face of repeated rejection and daunting obstacles, would take issue with that verb. As for the rest, J&J, Biontech took no R&D money from the government, other than a commitment to deliver millions of does, IF the technology worked. If that motivated speed, then so be it. But let's be clear, any administration would take the same path in the face of such a crisis...even Trump could hardly screw that up...although the failure to establish a delivery infrastructure became glaringly clear in the early days following FDA emergency approval.
