Objectively, NO. Not even close.

Belgium, Italy, UK, and Brazil have all, thus far, experienced loss of lives proportionally as high or higher. Furthermore, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Poland, and Mexico are (a) not finished because they don't have broad access to vaccines, and (b) not significantly lower in per-capita deaths versus the USA.

Others -- like France, Spain and Germany -- are seeing a resurgence of Covid that may well put them statistically tied with the US in coming weeks.

It would be malpractice to ignore the fact that the US numbers were disproportionally higher than other states, in NJ, NY, MA, PA, and IL. Worth noting they are mostly bright blue shitholes.

We have 581,000 dead thus far, a rate of 1,755 per million. When Biden took office that number was 425,000 at around 1,278 per million; so 26% of the deaths have taken place on Biden's watch, as Covid was receding and when he inherited a vaccine that was at 1,000,000 injections a day. What has Biden done to reduce the deaths in the last three months? Injected the vaccines he inherited from the Trump administration?

And most of those deaths occurred early on as a result of idiots in NYC flubbing the situation. Thousands returned to nursing homes where other patients died as a result. All uncaring, incompetent blue state governors. While empty hospital ships were readily available to take the sick. There was some major incompetence as a result of arrogant Democrat governors that did cause deaths that shouldn't have happened. Thousands of them. I'm not sure why NY and NJ hasn't put their governors on trial -- I'm guessing to involved in their vendettas to find Trump guilty of something.

While you have SOME convenient numbers (at the moment) you can toss out there, the sad reality is we don't know where this is going. But all things considered, there isn't another country I'd rather be in today if Covid were my principal concern.

Finally, let's talk about the ones that really matter.

China reports 3 deaths per million, which can looked at one of a couple ways: False, or controlled due to technology the rest of the world didn't have. You can go from there.

And India, which had widespread access to HCQ from the outset. A person starts feeling sick or exposed, they have HCQ in their pocket and start with it immediately and are able to control the growth. At least, so far.
