Dear CYBERKEN: I am with Olde Discount and THEY SAY they will not margin any stock until the price is $12 or more. If it goes over 12 and then drops they will continue to margin but will not start margin until it reaches 12. I suspect all the large brokerage houses have some kind of similar policy. JDN

I have been TRADING on line through E-TRADE.
They have margined stocks from $ 5 and up. OTC 19.95 NYS and AMEX 14,95.

FWIW I'm not happy with them either. On a recent options trade (IMRS) they quoted a price for an option on their "quote feed" that was 1 point below what they charged me. They continued to quote the lower figure for 30 minutes after my trade. They claim high volume and delay was the culprit, except mine was the only trade of the day on that particular option. What a company!
