A very perceptive post from the NN thread. This person listened to today's cc and there do seem to be problems with a NN/ATM product:

i'm not arguing with your assessment that nn is probably an attractive long term buy at these levels but if you are going to own the stock at least read the press release. ub had nothing to do with this disaster. this was the tdm business and the 36120 atm switch. (PERIOD) also, those who are characterizing this as a one qtr blip are not paying attention. this is the third qtr in a row that nn has missed-and this qtr wasn't a miss, it was i disaster of near biblical proportions. we will be lucky to see revenues even RETURN to match last qtrs #'s (which were also a disaster albeit not of the same magnitude) before q2 fy99-that's pathetic. listen to the replay.

all this said, the news is probably in teh price now (i say probably because this news is SO bad that it's hard to tell whether it has really sunk in. reading this board, it obviously has not). if between now and the full report they wake up and listen to us (analysts and $ managers) and get a grip on the expense side (compare their %'s to their peers and you will understand) AND we get a couple major win announcements like ntt and t that t m keeps alluding to, and then we could see a real nice % bounce in the stock.

i really can't take any more time here- i've tried to keep you guys informed as i knew you didn't have access to the call. time to go back to work.

all imo only....nick
