If I am ignorant, which I am not...please tell me the rules in shorting a stock. Please don't just reprint one of my posts. Give me some facts instead of a load of hot air.

Second, you suggest in your post that and I quote: People that have never had enough funds to short a stock would think the way you do (very
embarassing),but of course you are wrong as joe stated , after calling his broker. WOW some DD you
should try it stockid, you might not be here,.....

How do you know how much funds I have????? I have not posted my bank statement to you.....hell you don't even know me or what I do for a living....So that statement is erroneous and has nothing to do with the pertaining subject.

So, MR BIG AIR and your name fit's. Tell me the rules for shorting a security??????

Since you do not know the rules here they are:

A stock has to be trading over $5.00 a share.

The shares have to be "borrowable."

The brokerage has to have inventory of the shares for you to borrow them.

More DD for Hot Air:
If you could short a penny stock just like you could a big board or nasdaq issue.....everyone would be rich goofball....Why, because 1/2 the companies on the bb are scratching for dear life that's why they are so volatile. Many go into bankrupcy, never to be heard from again. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that if you could short bb stocks it would have a page in Barron's under short interest.
What about the Wall Street Journal is there a page for short interest of ACCY how about EUTO or your favorite NRAG...do you see a table to that effect???????? No, I don't think you do??????

SK
Enough Said I WIN!

P.S. One more reason why you can't short bb stocks...Most are unreporting with no SEC documents. You think a brokerage house would let you short a unreporting company....you crack me up.......You said that your broker would let you short a penny issue....Give me the name and number so I can call him or her and start shorting pennies.....then I'll give that number to all my friends and we will laugh all the way to the bank.

YOUR BLUFF HAS BEEN CALLED

GIVE ME THE NUMBER AND NAME OF YOUR BROKER
