:Prudential initiated coverage of the following semis with a BUY rating: LSI. ALTR,, INTC, XLNX. Perhaps that is why we see a strength in the semi equipment stocks (AMAT, LRCX, TER).

From valuation point LRCX has a price to sales ratio of under 1 (at around 0.7), and is trading 1.2 times its book value. Unless there is something really really wrong I think LRCX is perhaps one of the cheapest (if not "The cheapest") semi stocks around. Can anyone please tell me what is wrong here?! I am very much inclined to buy a bunch of shares at the current prices (even though the stock has already jumped by about $2 just today), but would like to know what are the negatives I am overlooking (besides of course the Asian problem).

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi
